We loved Criminal Minds. We looooooved Spencer Reid *swoon*
That dedication!!!!
Give us a smart man with a high IQ who wants to explain love with facts and we shall fall in love with him regardless.

I understood the connection with Spencer Reid, I love Spencer Reid but this was slightly over the top. The first 40% was amazing. The tension was good. The build up to them being together I loved. I got bored at some point but I kept at it. I felt there was a loophole with the dad issue but then again it’s book 4 and I’m starting from here. My fault.

"To Dr. Spencer Reid, Criminal Minds did you dirty, Pretty Boy. You deserved a happy ending, so this one’s for you."

As a Criminal Minds fan and someone who has always loved Dr. Spencer Reid, I was eager to read this book, hoping for a fresh, creative take on a character inspired by him. Unfortunately, this is not at all what the book was.

What I got was essentially poorly disguised fanfiction. The author didn’t even try to craft an original character. She lazily copied Reid's personality, quirks, and intellect straight from the show, making only minor tweaks to his job and family life. It felt cheap and uninspired.

What makes this even worse is that I discovered after reading that the author has a reputation for plagiarism. Knowing now that she profits off stolen ideas makes my experience with this book feel even more sour. Had I known her history beforehand, I never would have supported her work.

This book left me disappointed, frustrated, and frankly a little insulted. It’s a shame because I expected so much more. Instead, I was left with an imitation as hollow as it was unoriginal.

Paging Dr. Spencer Reid fans; We have the romance novel for you. The mmc is based off of our favorite nerdy awkward doctor from Criminal Minds. This is a pretty cute story of him trying to accept that he is in love. The fmc is being hounded by the press about her breakup (which seemed far fetched that SOOOO many people are obsessed with her books and her life. Like, it’s just not realistic for paparazzi to wait outside for weeks in the wintertime in Wyoming for a novelist…).
I feel like there wasn’t too much depth to the fmc. She read as more of just a damsel in distress while Ranger is the one main character that actually had a personality.
Overall, I did enjoy the story and I’m glad I finished this series. Hunter is still my favorite though. He is just such a sweet guy and his book was just so cute.
There are a lot of cute little quotes in this book and once again Lydia Reynolds is such a boss with her WISDOM
