If The Departed and Sons of Anarchy had a baby born in back woods Virginia, that baby would be Razorblade Tears. Gritty dialogue, visceral prose, and a general badass-ery that knows no bounds. This book had me hooked from the first page. I was amped up, ready to jump in the bloody fight for vengeance. I felt like I was an ex-con who could handle any gun put into my hands. This book takes no prisoners and drags the reader through equal parts emotional despair and raw violence, while also giving healthy doses of perspective on the complexities of human nature and society. I loved everything about this book. The one-liners alone could be their own book, but the entire thing, start to finish, had me crying razorblade tears.
