This was cute, but Avery came across as really young and spoiled. I didn't get what a man like Christoper would see in him. I wish we'd gotten some of Christophers POV, and maybe learned a bit about Avery's family.

A short and sweet read.

I really enjoyed this book. I enjoyed how the author described Christopher's body when him and Avery first had sex. Most m/m books describe older men as being insanely buff. While some are buff, all of them aren't. I like she described all the distinguishing qualities Christopher possessed. This was a good romantic story.

I liked the story, but I wasn't crazy about it.

I alternated between loving Avery and wanting to slap some sense into him. Christopher was harder to connect to, as it was to most of the other characters, probably because we got the story from Avery's airheaded POV. I sometimes have a problem with stories told in first person. I'm a "get the whole story"- kind of person and that is hard to achieve in a story like that.

I did laugh hard a few times and the secondary characters were great. I loved Nick. He can be my best friend any day! I could probably need someone like him in my life. (Oh wait, I'm married to one...) Angie and Michael made a great impression too. I loved their acceptance and how they manipulated the couple.

My favorite part was probably where Avery tells Christopher about how he feels about having children, or the last cake....

I liked it up until the second they got kinky in bed then Prof left his bounded boy. That’s just wrong.
But then there were other little things that just made me cringe... hence, the 2 stars. Could be better. Way better.

This was a skim-read for me, unfortunately. I always like something I haven't seen before - in this case one of the leads was a flamboyant gay man who was very happy being so. The object of his affections was not a hot-bodied young man but a much older neighbour. So far so good.
The book lost me because I didn't believe that the main couple liked each other as anything more than fetish objects - they didn't really see each other as individuals.
I also loathed the constant movie references - they were tedious.
If you didn't mind the main pairing you might find this quite hot but it wasn't for me.

This was cute, but kind of rushed. It felt underdeveloped and it was really short. Probably could be called a novella.

At first I was like, what the cuss is wrong with these two? They were really weird, but they grew on me. D/s undertones.

I've read this author before. A short MM contemporary story, with an age gap between the main characters. I loved how everyone in Christopher's family were so accepting. Love the cake too. I'll read this author again.

Too stupid and hokey. It wasn't funny. Both Avery and Christopher's characters were so extreme and forced that they came across as weirdos. They weren't likeable. The relationship development was quite shallow. It didn't help that Avery was very insecure and they never talked as a couple. Technically the sex was there on the page but it didn't generate much steam. The HFN was weak. It was a very short book.

Also, political correctness was pushed in the story - age gap, homosexuality, bisexuality, 2016 gay club shooting in Florida, etc.

A better book by this author is [b:Loving Jay|21523072|Loving Jay (Loving You, #1)|Renae Kaye|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1395335369s/21523072.jpg|40847742]. It's on my keeper shelf.
