I’m excited to see where this series goes, although I felt like the first book was kind of slow. I basically didn’t like any of the characters except Ophelia and her scarf, so I hope that changes next book!

The start is pretty slow and the magic worldbuilding can get a bit confusing, overall a good start for a fantasy series. I like how Ophelia, even when virtually powerless still manages to be a strong protagonist.
