Not often I can't geuss who the killer is in a cozy mystery, but Chien had me stumped! I was genuinely positively shocked in the end.

I've enjoyed all the books in the Noodle Shop mystery series and, although KILLER KUNG PAO is a little lackluster compared to the rest, it is no exception. It's always fun to hang out with Lana and her circle of friends, family, and acquaintances. The characters are colorful and likable, even if they're not super well-developed. As far as the mystery goes, this one is a bit meh. While electrocution is certainly a unique way to die, the rest of the plot is pretty humdrum, nothing really original or twisty about it. Still, the book is a fast, engrossing read. It's not my favorite in the series, but it's still an entertaining read. I liked it overall. If I could, I would give the book 3 1/2 stars; since I can't, I'm rounding up.
