The book starts off as go go go and then I’m not sure what happened but then it felt like nothing was really happening plot wise whilst Susan was getting more annoying.

The last 10% had a lot going on and almost felt like if was trying to redeem itself from all the mundane parts but it also felt like I was no longer reading a story about the booksellers.

This was a great sequel that I think lived up to the first book. It took me a while to get through because I kept putting it down, and so much happens so quickly that if you forget what's going on it's hard to get back into it. When I just sat down and read it went much quicker.  The world-building in this series is great, and I love Merlin and Susan. I could perhaps have done with a little less information about the cars, but that's also a sort of world-building thing so it wasn't the most annoying thing I've ever read. The plot moved fast and as always, the booksellers were a delight.
