In this books defence, I fear it was sold to me wrong. I read 'woman loves a printer' and thought, I'm in. This is more about a woman's relationship with capitalism/the work place as a whole. It was fine. I wish it had have been weirder. There are definitely parts that I felt were unnecessary (her childhood sections). It was fine.
Brilliant and weird. Really compelling writing. I found myself rooting for the two to find a way back to each other as in a love story?! Really fun read

i enjoyed the book itself, but the themes are a bit half-baked. would have benefitted from some more time marinating in the mind's compost pile.

fun premise: an office worker is intimately obsessed with her office printer. fun writing, too, delving into the existential without being too heavy. equally, i thought there were some parts of the story that were throw out and never picked up again, which made it feel a bit disjointed.
