Not the best start to my 2025 reading…
I’m genuinely confused why this book is so popular? Is it purely the cover art??
The novel starts off really slow, and not much is going on. I almost DNFd a couple times but I held on because so many people have enjoyed reading this book that I figured it had to be redeemed in the second half…
I was wrong, the second half was all over the place. The author seems to throw in as many bizarre events as she can to make the story interesting.
I was not invested in any of the characters and the multiple POVs didn’t add anything other than confusion as every character had the same personality, and even, some of them, the same names.
