Varying between mundane life and tumultuous events, this story is about love, self awareness, and family. The family here is very complex, with relationships that cross generations, cultures, and languages. (Readers may want to draw themselves a diagram to follow along.)
If you love journeys of self discovery that end happily, this is a great read. I can’t wait to see what Rebecca K Reilly writes next.

A book full of weird, but lovable characters. I wasn’t sure exactly what I was getting into, but I kept with it because of all the great New Zealand references (and I’ve recently moved here) and I loved the Māori perspective! It ended up being sweet, and often laugh out loud funny. I highly recommend.
