Laugh out loud funny. If you loved The Rachel Incident (Caroline O’Donoghue) or Good Material (Dolly Alderton), this book is the gay chaotic younger cousin of those two with a barely comprehensible New Zealand accent. I wish it was a movie. I truly laid on the sofa and cackled reading it.

I really enjoyed the main characters and their humor a lot. However I got confused (more in the 2nd half) with the influx of a lot of other characters I kept getting confused

This is a sweet no plot just vibes book. Reads very coming of age rom-com esque? The number of characters was tought to keep track of especially them having similar and same names. Showing the parents have an affair/open marriage was unnecessary and added nothing to the plot. I liked the themes of belongingness, sibling love and identity. Overall a delightful read.
