Adam Carlson. He was the highlight of the book tbh and I loved the setting. Dont like how much he was referred to as big and she was referred to as little and small in comparison. Felt a bit wattpad-esc at times but that might just be a me problem. I believe Anh shouldve been more included towards the end. I did also find their lack of communication and honesty to be annoying as it created tension for no reason. But, all in all a fast, funny and cute read.

I knew that that this book would be a bit cliché with the fake dating trope (which I’m okay with) but at times it seemed so much like a fanfiction written by a 14 year old on Wattpad it was painful. The lack of emotion maturity from every character in the book only amplifies the feeling that it was written by a child that has no idea how adult relationships work.

I HATED how the unconsensual kiss between the main characters especially because of how reporting this as sexual misconduct was joked about??

The characters also lack dimension and Adam is described in the exact same way over and over again. All we know about him is that he is moody, sullen and massive. For a main character, he is just bland. This is just another romance book that reminds you in every paragraph about how big and strong the male character is and how small and petite the woman is, which I am SO tired of.
Malcom and Holden are thrown together at the end as the token queer relationship, which seems lazy.

I enjoyed how the book highlighted the challenges women in STEM can face, but this wasn’t enough to make up for where the story fell flat.
