There's a lot of convenient hand waving, exposition-y nonsense in this one but it's a good brain balm where you can switch off and enjoy some popcorn action. The good guys are infallible and the bad guys are just evil. You don't have to think or contemplate but I wish the protagonists were a little more multi-dimensional rather than being plain paragons of good. It was probably the weakest in the series so far but it won't stop me from finishing the rest.

An enjoyable "Boy's own adventure". Interesting historical fact mixed with some suspension of reality, Matthew Reilly is always a fun read

This is one amazing book. So refreshing for me and I waited so long to have it in my hands. One more time admiration to Reilly for the great job on this one. With Jack West series he send me in one different world, world of action, adventures and mysteries. And I hope this is not the last book about West Jr. and his team which we are going to read!!! Love it! Strongly recommend to everyone.

To be honest I'm getting sick and tired to read only vampire stories. They kind a start to loose their charm since every single author start to write about them. And this book made me to remember what is to hold something unique in your hands. Something different.
