There is so much I wished this book was that it just wasn't. I loved the premise and idea of it but didn't feel that the book delivered on it.

My main critique is it couldn't feel anything we were being told. For example, I had a hard time believing the main characters' relationship/break-up in that I couldn't feel that they had loved each other and the emotions of their breakup. They kept taking actions to show they were trying to avoid each other but I couldn't feel it.

That kind of pervaded everything. I couldn't feel that some creepy characters were creepy or strong characters were strong.

It's not a bad story and was certainly interesting but felt a little flat somehow.

I loved this novella, and the only reason I didn't make it 5 stars was that I wanted it to be a full lengthed book! I found the whole premise of a wormhole in an Ikea-esque store to be hilarious, and the adventures of Ava and Jules in the multiverse were great. I felt that we still got a lot of character depth for both of them, even though it was a novella. The various worlds were so fascinating and well imagined! Definitely worth the read!

This was a really nice listen during a long car ride. The premise is fun and interesting and a nice way to explore a relationship and internal conflict.
