Had a good time reading this, for the most part! It did get a little too "Us VS Them" at points, with the majority of the villains simple being Evil (as far as I could tell, who knows what'll happen further on in the series). Did get to know the characters outside of the first main couple better, and I got some aromantic representation, so I'm not complaining too much :) Will be interesting to see what book three is about, though I think I need a little break from this series first.

I give Ravensong 4.5 Stars. T.J. Klune has such a talent in taking a story with so many moving parts and making it truly comprehensible. I find myself on the edge of my seat with each chapter I read. His balance of love, action, humor and heartache is a perfect recipe for his writing. Gordo, Gordo, Gordo…give this man a hand. Another exceptionally written character, and this book was a fluid transition from Wolfsong. I refrain from spoilers, wishing all readers to enjoy the same enthralling experience!

I really love when TJ Klune writes about found family and happy scenes like in The House in the Cerulean Sea or in the first novel of this series. In this book, however, there are a lot of darker themes which I did anticipate, since Gordo's past was hinted at in the first book, but was sometimes still not emotionally ready for ^^'
Nevertheless, I enjoyed it and the story was intriguing, despite my preference for more lighthearted novels.
