'The thing about courage is that in many people it shows up only when it's really needed. And Twigleg was considerably more courageous than he thought.'
This was marvellous. I felt like I was back to being 14 years old and enjoying one of my favourite books again. This was so great to see old characters and new in a brilliant adventure for all.
Cornelia Funke is so great at characterisation and this book is full of new details about the characters we know and love. Twigleg was, and always will be my fav.
There is also a really important environmental friendly message that this book emits which is really nice to see, especially in a children's book.
The pictures in this one are also beautiful and has many more than the first one.
I really hope Cornelia writes another one (without the same wait this time!)

Disappointing. This follow-up to a story I read and re-read with students never achieved the level of engagement as the original.

I have to start this by saying I love Cornelia Funke and her work. DragonRider is one of my family's favorite read together books. It seemed to me that this was a really badly edited or translated version. There were a lot of mistakes that even my 7 year old noticed. It was not the Kindle edition, but the Scholastic hardback version. Plot mistakes, word mistakes...
Was really hard to get through.

The exciting follow-up to “Dragon Rider” takes place two years after Firedrake and Ben’s first adventure. It now sees the duo and other familiar faces reuniting to protect three Pegasus eggs and how the only way to hatch them will turn into something dangerous. “TGF” has that same dragon magic that engrossed me throughout with more magical creatures that’ll mystify you. A (100%/Outstanding)
