It was an okay story but I was kind expecting more from this first book. Admittedly, I’m coming off the tv show, but the pacing of this novel was kind of slow.

I also was not a fan of the multiple endings. I know they’re trying to set up the overarching mystery as well as plop down some recurring characters, but the whole conclusion seems messy. It could’ve been cleaned up to make the developments line up a little nicer and distinct.

I’ll still probably read the next in the series as I know many a series that has improved by book two. And this has a promising premise and main character; the writing and pacing just need to improve.

I’m not enjoying this at all. I know it’s blasphemy, but I like the TV show better. The book is tedious.

Really great crime novel, kind of reminded me of Orphan X series (but a bit more...everyman). The bits about gaming were a little obviously older-person-writing-about-those-dang-videogames but it didn't detract from the main plot, and the book ended with a great set up for a longer mystery in the series.
