Oh man, another best friends to lovers novel. These are my favourite! I loved this book. Another great addition to this series. Ara and Ty are the perfect fit, but they're too stubborn to admit/realise their feelings for each other.

I enjoyed the learning curve with these, both with them coming to the realisations about their relationship, and with the other aspects of their lives as well.

I honestly don't really know what to say about this apart from the fact that I loved it, and definitely recommend reading it. Devoured this one!

Another addition to the Gridiron series with a friends-to-lovers trope. It took me awhile to remember all the characters and what happened in previous books. Ty Masters is on the cusp of joining the NFL. Everything he has worked for is becoming a reality but he has chosen a sleazy agent to represent him, isn't playing the social media game and getting a tad bit nervous that he won't beat his twin brother in the draft. Added to that is his relationship woes. The only constant has been his best friend Ara Martin. Ara was the perfect friend - supportive, understanding and loyal. But she's been harboring a secret...she's been in love with Ty for as long as they've been friends.

Ara was one step away from joining my 'Annoying Cows' shelf but she redeemed herself when she eventually pulled her head of of her ass. She was most definitely a a big ol' scaredy cat, afraid to not only put herself out there but take a chance on something. As for Ty, he was stubborn, but once he set his mind to something he committed to it. I loved how he knew how to deal with Ara, and how their friendship was actually vital to a relationship being formed.

It was a slow and steady start to them realizing that they want more from each other. This was a nice and easy read, despite the low angst. Here's hoping there is another book in the series. Remy perhaps?

I really enjoyed the previous books in this series and other books by Jen Frederick. Played just didn't work for me, I was bored by the end of chapter 10 and almost DNF'd. I skimmed chapters 11-14 and picked up reading again at chapter 15 but I just couldn't connect. I liked Ty but Ara annoyed me and I never got past it. The story also moved too slow for my liking. I will still continue to read this author as I've stated previously the other books I've read I enjoyed.

Ty Masters is my new favorite Gridiron man! I really do like Knox, but I just adored Ty. I liked him a lot in the last book, so I knew I would really like Played. He is a lot of fun and a genuinely nice guy. I love how much he has cared about Ara and I enjoyed their friendship. I liked reading about them trying to figure out what their feelings meant and where to go from there.
I enjoyed the whole overall journey and I liked the story a lot. Played is definitely my favorite overall Gridiron book! loved it!

Conclusión: Me declaro fan de los gemelos, de su prueba, de sus personalidades pero sobre todo de como están siempre el uno para el otro cuando lo necesitan.

A bit disappointed

I'm a bit disappointed in this one. I loved the three before and I was so excited to read about Ty. Ara, ugh just ugggghhh! She was sooo difficult to like. I wanted to love this one and I just didn't.

It took almost 70% of the book to get past all the annoying "we're just friends, we HAVE to stay friends" issues and the ending felt really rushed. I mean I just spent over half the book listening to Ara's inner crazy and then in like two pages she's "all in" because she realizes she's a coward?!? REALLY 70% wasted on THAT. Ok whatever!

I wanted more, but maybe it's just me. Read it see what you think.

As much as I hope this series carries on, if there's not any more from this gang it's good it's sandwiched between the Master Twins (if I had the chance)

You got a lot but at the same time not enough of Kintyre Master in book 1, just as you get glimpses of how far Knox has come since Sacked. I really hope this series keeps going. I need more.

Sry... Maybe another time. Can't finish this one rn. Can't really deal with that type of romance anymore. Being in love but not telling the other person... Bäh.

This one's your typical best friend romance.
So yeah, guess I've got myself to blame...

The heroine has basically been pining for the hero for years. To complicate things, she seems to think about him every freaking moment, is jealous of his girlfriends and then we find out that they have recently kissed. But the heroine waits for the Hero to... Yeah, what? Remember the kiss? Who knows?
Herting history? Her last boyfriend was a tool.

For me, there was just too much longing and pining for a guy she knew hasn't ever been a good boyfriend.

The hero? I have my difficulties taking him seriously. Cause of his Manager. That guy talks about women as if they were accessories or things, basically stuff that doesn't have any feelings and can be used and discarded. Don't have much respect for our player for sticking with this guy...
But then the hero has an awesome brother so... Na, honestly, what is it with that manager?
Hero's dating history? He has had quite his load of girlfriends. So he doesn't seem to be the type of guy who has random hookups even though he goes through his girlfriends pretty quickly.
Not very fond of him not acting on his feelings for his BF .

Not yet finished.
