I’m sorry but WHAT

A fun beach read! I wish there was magic

Steamy & thoughtful.

This shouldn’t have worked but it did. 4⭐️ because of the lying and deceit. But I loved how Cassie & Erin just couldn’t resist the pull between them.

Absolutely a pleasure read. You go in knowing all the details and you just enjoy it.

One thing I did love was how when the perspective switched from Cassie to Erin you could feel the difference in their internal dialogue. Cassie is very headstrong, passionate, stubborn and willfully ignorant. Erin is anxious, soothing and loving. When boiled down it it's core, this is a story about finding love in the least likely place and in one of the worst possible ways. And I'm always a fan of those kinds of stories.

EDIT: Sometimes it takes a few days for me to settle on a rating and review. Now it's 3.5 stars. Yes, this was a good read, very pleasurable... however
Spoiler the ending almost took everything away from the beginning of the book. I felt the way Parker found out was a cop-out. Erin and Cassie didn't have to do any hard work with Parker to make the situation ok, and for me that was disingenuous to the story. The whole point was them being star-crossed lovers because of their individual relationships with Parker. And then they didn't have to put in the work to heal their relationship with Parker despite lying to her and being deeply hurtful. Parker was just anticlimactically accepting of them and the situation. I didn't like that, which really is a shame because it's lowered the rating of the whole story for me.

This book was a goddamn delight. Oh my gosh. The audible reactions this book drew from me all the time!!! I laughed out loud in the first chapter, and throughout the book multiple times. I was either laughing/maniacally cackling, or cursing under my breath (or AWWWWWWing!!!!!). It’s so sexy and emotional and lovely. I really enjoyed this so much. THE OPPOSITE OF A SLOW BURN. So spicy and brilliant, and I’ll have more to say when we get closer to pub.
