I am in LOVE with this book! From the initial meet-cute to the heart of the story, walking alongside Cassie and Erin as they learn to overcome the need to meet the expectations of others and learn to listen to their hearts and follow their own path to happiness instead. The romance and spice melted into absolute perfection. I am still a puddle. So far this is my favorite sapphic romance of the year.

I hate it when age gap books talk extensively about how creepy this would be irl. Let me enjoy my milf book in peace.

I have not really written reviews for the last year or so for many of the books I have read. I wanted to write a review for this book because it stood out to me in a few different ways. The first of which is the spicy scenes are so incredibly well done. They were pretty realistic and varied which was really refreshing to see. Another thing to note is (major spoilers ahead) that the major conflict in the story didn't happen like the characters thought it would. Erin's daughter Parker didn't freakout and keep the two lovebirds apart for any amount of time. Yes, there was definitely some friction, but she got over it and really just wanted her mom and her friend to be happy. I enjoy when writers recognize that not all young people have to act like the world is all about them. They can make young people decisions and definitely lash out in emotional ways, but they can also be really mature about things that matter to them. (I know, I sound old). I would have liked to have seen other characters more fleshed out but in the end this was definitely a fun romance. I love reading queer romance and feeling like the author actually cares about the whole character, not only their orientation. Well done!

yikes
I wanted to love this so bad. I just could not get over the age gap, I’m so sorry. I used to love age gap stuff but ever since my frontal lobe developed last year, it has not been it for me. I think the main thing for me was that Cassie was Erin’s daughter’s bestie and basically the same age. I feel like the author tried to make up for that by making Cassie seem very mature and “not like other girls her age”, and Parker seem super immature and young, but for me that made it worse. This wasn’t not a believable couple and in my heart of hearts I know these heauxes don’t last

Read 2 back to back perfect lesbian romance thanks Netgalley!

I didn't like the audiobook narration that much, but I've heard worse. A (steamy) lesbian romance between
a 21-year-old college girl and a 38-year-old mom. The story drags on a bit long. I get that these two women don't want to admit they have feelings because it might complicate the situation, but it takes them almost a year (iirc).. The story could've been a lot shorter by skipping time more often, or not dragging it out so long.
