Thank you SMP Romance for gifting me a finished copy of this book. My opinions are my own.
Cassie hooks up with a woman she meets at a bar. Only to find out later it's one of her best friends mom. Parker invites Cassie to visit for the holidays, so Cassie ends up spending a lot of time with Erin. At first there's a lot of push and pull until they finally give into their feelings. But they both put themselves into a tough situation where Parker is concerned.
I really enjoyed the connection between Cassie and Erin. Their first hook up was so steamy and would get even hotter throughout the book. This is a fantastic age gap, secret relationship romance.

I did basically nothing but read this book last night and stayed up to finish it, and I have no regrets. Sweet bits, spicy bits, THE PINING, all so so good.
My only complaint is that I had trouble keeping track of some minor characters with generic names (COULD NOT remember who Melissa was. ever.)

3.5 ⭐️ good writing, sexy smut (from the very first chapter!). However I could not get over the age gap. Even though it was handled pretty well I just couldn’t shake the cringe.

Thank you to Netgalley and St. Martins for the advanced copy!
This book. What a steamy, fun, delightful WONDERFUL book.
I was a little on the fence about Wilsner's first book but I am sooooo happy I got to pick this one up early, I can't stop smiling when I think about it. Erin and Cassie meet at a bar and hit it off and then, surprise, Cassie is Erin's daughter's best friend at college and they know they shouldn't because age gap! best friend's mom! long distance! but of course, they do it (a lot) and while some of the plot points felt at times a small bit contrived, I really loved how Wilsner unfurls this romance and doesn't create too much forced time together, letting the characters romance each other over text and facetime, as people would. Even the inevitable third act "break-up" and reveal (because you know that's coming, there is no way it isn't) is handled well, like two freaking adults are in this relationship, and everyone is just acting their age and I don't know how to express how FANTASTIC that is.
I don't feel like I can talk about this more without spoilers but this book was fun and hot and great and is a must read. That's it.

The smut was great but if they said babe one more time I was going to throw the book at the wall. Also I found the age gap super icky and couldn’t get over it to connect with the relationship.
