I really enjoyed the story, I wasn't expecting the twist at the end. Good artwork and dialogue.

This series isn’t quite what I expected. I think I’m okay with that, but I’m going to have to read another issue or two in order to be sure. It was marketed as a warrior off on a quest sort of storyline, but that’s not quite the way I’d explain it.
Yes, it absolutely starts out the way it’s advertised and described, but things quickly change from there. There are four major perspectives, but when you realize what their jobs are and how involved the whole thing is…well it gets pretty meta very quickly.
I’m not usually a fan of meta plots, truth be told. I’m willing to humor this one, but I’m also fully aware that there’s a chance that I’ll drop it. If the meta-factor doesn’t balance out, or worse becomes a stronger influence on the plot that will likely conclude my interest in the series. I hope we go back down to focusing on those characters already introduced.

If you like Westworld then I think you will like this comic. I was loving everything about it until it took a left turn right in the middle and I had no clue what was going on. It’s starts off as a warrior quest and that is what I wanted but in the end you realize it’s a situation similar to Westworld so I’m not sure how I feel about it yet. I will definitely check out the next issue but if the series starts focusing more on the creators instead of Amala and Kingdom of Arcadia I might have to let it go.
