Reviews with content warning for Physical abuse - Throttled

Lauren Asher is an author that I've been curious about, but honestly, I needed help figuring out where to start. I keep seeing The Fine Print appear everywhere and now Love Redesigned, so I've been curious about her books. But I finally picked up the audiobook for Throttled, and it was terrific. I loved the racing angle. I haven't really read any racing books. I liked the forbidden love angle in it, but I wish we had more of the playboy past causing issues because he had a vast past, and they would've called drama somewhere. I really want to continue this series!

A very strong 4.25, I actually really liked the main characters and there relationship surprisingly was really healthy and sweet (also this is not erotica idk why its classed as that). I probably won't read the next book cause I really didn't like Sophie or Liam that much in this one to read from there pov and relationship but I may read jaxs book cause I quite liked him.

I’m not much of a sport romance girl, but this F1 backdrop was fun. With all the traveling and parties. I really liked Maya as a character, so well rounded and sweet/sassy. Noah’s character arch is what I always want from this archetype of MMC. Their chemistry was great. Though Noah’s parents can rot in hell.

I was pleasantly surprised by this one after starting Dreamland Billionaires which was cool, but didn’t do a ton for me. I didn’t expect to enjoy this as much as I did. This is a forbidden romance between a budding vlogger and her brothers F1 racing rival. I really enjoyed the progression of these characters relationships especially for the MMC who actually takes accountability for his own healing. This was also perfectly immersed in the sport itself. I’ll definitely be continuing the series!
