Wow I enjoyed this play. Although I found myself questioning whether it really felt like a tragedy to me. The only person I cared about was Enobarbus and he died so I guess so. Although the scenes and relationship built between Antony and Cleo is masterful. I found them very difficult to care about.

interesting as a follow up to julius caesar. cleopatra is an interesting shakespearean woman too. i’d say if you’ve read and enjoyed romeo & juliet and are looking for a shakespeare to go to, this might be a good one.
