Couldn't get into it. Boring.

Good to read more legal courtroom drama from the master, John Grisham!

Love my older Grishams (The Firm, The Runaway Jury, The Testament, Skipping Christmas etc) but wasn’t feeling this one, a bit too depressing for me and also I’m not into the religion stuff. May pick up at a later date.

The last few Grisham novels have been excellent, including The Guardians. An enjoyable thriller that also raises awareness about how many innocent people are behind bars.

My first long John Grisham novel and I was pleasantly surprised. The story moved along nicely, the characters were interesting and it's a book I would love to read a sequel to.

No stunning plot twists (at least in my opinion), but enough surprises with touches of humor to keep things interesting.

Overall, a nice novel for a bit of distraction from 2020's series of unfortunate real life events, reminding us that while systems fail, there are still good people out there.

Good. A little confusing at times, or maybe I didn’t pay close enough attention. Overall, made me want to help the wrongly convicted.
