Okayz, let me tell you this. I did not expect that ending!! I really enjoyed this book, the writing, the plot, and the characters. The only struggle I had with it was the scenery, or maybe the way the places was (or wasn't) described. I had some trouble following where they were and how they got there since they moved preeetty darn quick through different places. Other than that - I highly enjoyed and recommend it! I'm for sure going to pre-order the sequel once it's possible! :D

The world-building in this book is rich and immersive, drawing the reader into a fantastical desert city brimming with intrigue and danger. The characters are complex and multi-dimensional, each with their own motivations and struggles that make them feel incredibly real.

What I loved most about "A Song of Wraiths and Ruin" is the way it seamlessly weaves together elements of fantasy, romance, and political intrigue. The blend of magic, mythical creatures, and forbidden love creates a spellbinding narrative that will keep you guessing until the very last page.

This was an absolute treat. While the world-building did get info-dumpy in the beginning, I enjoyed the world that was crafted once I was used to the information. And while I said it was a bit info-dumpy about other things, beginning in a festival was a smart choice to introduce aspects about the story. Additionally, the strong point of this story was the characters.

This was a good read. The second half of the book was much more exciting for me than the first half and builds up nicely for the sequel.
