Cliffhanger

Ends without any resolution. The background and characters are fun. Just as you're into the story and getting close to a resolution, boom skips ahead and ends on a cliffhanger.

ill get back to it, someday :)

Uhhh what was this?? A short read but nothing happened? Literally. The slowest slow burn that fizzled out. Then skips 2 months and ends on a cliff hanger.
Story was choppy and hard to follow at times. Scene changes weren't marked or obvious so you just are confused like wth happened, before you process it's a scene change. Not a fan sadly

I honestly didn’t even want to add this to the list books I’ve read. It leaves off on a cliffhanger which is unnecessary. This first book should have continued but instead it feels like the author wants more money so they’re dragging it out. I won’t be reading the next books in the series- this one barely had my attention.

I’ve been in a rockstar romance kick, I listened to this one on audio. It was quick and honestly didn’t grab me as much as I thought it would.

As the story went on, I form more interested, but nothing ever fully happened and I was let down.

I’m hoping if I read further into the series it might help, this one was super short.

I do like the characters and the story line, but I was just left wanting more.

This recently updated edition of the Wicked trilogy not only has an amazing discreet cover but has all three books- Good Girl, Bad Girl and Wicked Girl- within one. Separated by three parts, it is easy to follow along with the audiobooks, which are available to listen to as stand alone (and on Scribd).

Synopsis: Hayley is a broke computer science student. Jax is a famous rock star. The two meet when Hayley takes an internship at Jax’s label and despite the age-gap, the attraction is there. However, due to their traumatic pasts and workplace situation, the two are scared to chance.

Thoughts: Overall, this series really shocked me in the best way. I wasn’t sure at first because of the rockstar trope but Piper delivered an authentic story without the stereotypical rockstar persona. Hayley and Jax were made for each other, and I loved experiencing the moment when they were ready to put their fears aside and accept what they have. I listened to the audiobook, and Joe Arden and Savannah Peachwood did an amazing job narrating and bringing the author’s words to life. We know from the start that Jax and Haley are two complicated characters with traumatic pasts, and I was impressed by how well the narrators added this emotional piece to the story you that can’t often get from reading.

Read if you like:
-Rockstar romance
-Age-gap
-Dual POVs
-Addictive storylines
-Complex, likable characters
-Computer Science
-Music labels
