I grabbed this audiobook during a stuff your airpods day and when I needed a quick audiobook to listen to, I saw this was 4 hours and gave it a go. I didn't expect to get sucked in.
Haley is a 29 year old college student whose mom just passed away a year ago. She doesn't know who her dad is and she's struggling to pay her way through college now that she's on her own. She's good with technology and loves music, which is why she's developing her own sound app to help identify music that affects people emotionally. When she lands a spot on rock star Jax Jameson's tour, she's ecstatic. He's her favorite musician and he's so hot. Except reality bites her in the butt when she realizes he's kind of a jerk. As the tour goes on, she learns there's way more to Jax than what meets the eye and he's been keeping secrets.
Ugh... do I venture on to the next book? This one ended on a cliffhanger and I don't want to get pulled in, but I kinda want to know how it shakes out. The premise was interesting and I love a good musician/regular person love story, but I could do without the constant descriptions of Jax smelling like "sandalwood and laundry soap". 😂

I had high hopes based off the cover of this book but nothing about this book excited me or made me want to even continue on in the series.

It was fine. Story is continued in the next book but I don't feel like there's enough of a storyline to compel me to read the next one to be honest.
I also expected a lot more adult content but there's little to nothing.

It was fine. Hate that the story ended, it could have continued on.
