“I can’t be what you want.” I expected her to protest or pull away. Instead she smiles, the tiniest gesture in the blackness of the car, but I feel it really in every part of me. “You already are.” And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the sound of a man who’s well and truly fucked.

“Good Girl” is a cute and quick read. I’ll probably read book 2 if it’s on kindle unlimited or like .99 cents. I don’t really have a whole lot to say about it. Jax and Haley’s relationship just starts to build but other then a kiss nothing physical happens(but I guess that’s to be expected when Haley hates to be touched) and I guess I’ll have to read book 2 to see if anything happens between them.

Just an avid reader finding new authors and reading their backlists!

Good Girl is Book #1 in the Wicked Series, a new adult rockstar meets nerd romance.

We Meet Haley is a college student who finds herself working on sexy rocker, Jax Jamieson's tour and she doesn't know what she is in for!

Jax is a platinum selling rockstar with his own set of problems and daemons, one in particular his attraction to Haley.

Their relationship is a slow burn, but so steamy. I am not normally a fan of slow burn romances but Piper Lawson writes with such passion that it draws you in.
fast-paced

To be honest I have no idea how I came across this book but I am so glad I did! The book was definetly better than I expected!❤
.
Good girl is the first book in the WICKED series and a pure rockstar slow burn romance full of feels and angst.

Haley is our heroine who is definetly not the damsel in distress. She is a strong female lead with goals in her life and a passion for music.
Jax Jamieson is a legend. Fame, talent, money and thousands of fans.
They are completely different. Haley is young, a nerd and a good girl. Jax is a rockstar with an attitude and a voice that speaks to millions.
.
When Haley finds herself on tour as an intern with the man who wrote songs that saved her life, it is quite a shock to see her hero as a lost, angry man. But she needs to find the man who wrote lyrics that can give strength because her computer program's success depends on it. She sees music in an analytical way while Jax sees it as passion. The answer to her questions might be really simple.. and really complicated.. Jax.
.
Jax is lost. He wants out of the life on tour. He wants to settle. Haley is like a sunshine to his darkness that he can't have.
.
I loved this story. The characters are great and their relationship is pure and honest. They are friends and they are forbidden to the other. The whole life on tour, record label story is amazing. We not only have the struggles of the characters with each other but with the life they're living.
We see the story from both of their perspective, stealing glimpses into their thoughts and feelings.

The stroy goes through three books so at the end I wanted to scream and get my hands on the next book ASAP.

If you're in the mood for a rockstar romance that's not just a cute lovestory with a hot man with tattoos but true feelings and hardships and working for what you want then I definetly recommend this one!
