I read this in airports and buses and sidewalks.
Kurt Vonnegut... can't say I was sold on him after Slaughterhouse 5, which to me was a confusing and uninteresting read. But this! Fun and kinda weird, doesn't try to be anything it's not, a book that screams DONT TAKE ME SERIOUSLY yet is still solid in terms of story and characters. At times I felt like I was reading a post-dramatic theatre wannabe in novel form; I say wannabe cause it did have a plot, albeit highly unlikely and even hysterical, at times. This has not become one of my favorite books, not by any means, but it was very easy to follow and it kept me much needed company during flights, etc. This version was also small enough it fit into my jacket pocket which was fun.

2.5 stars

This book was probably brilliant but it made me feel so unhappy. It reminds me of how I felt after I read Lord of the Flies in high school- I get that the author is making a point about how horrible humanity is, but I don’t really want to think about it because it makes me tired.

I probably will go back and rate it higher but right now I’m rating it based on how this book made me feel. And it did not make me feel good… which is probably the point.
fast-paced

Not what I expected, but enjoyed nonetheless.
