Captivating to read, but not as engaging to me as Slaughterhouse-Five. It’s an interesting read learning of the Hoenikker children, religion of Bokononism and San Lorenzo. “There is no damn cat, and there is no damn cradle.”

Like most Vonnegut books, Cat’s Cradle has a slower start as you’re introduced to the cast of quirky characters and, in the case of this book, to the seemingly absurd religion of Bokononism.

And, like most Vonnegut books, it is generously sprinkled throughout with quippy glimpses into human truths and hilarious turns of phrase.

I really enjoyed this story - I think it’ll stick with me for a while.
