it was like an absurdist whimsical satirical silly little fairytale. i loved the creativity around bokononism, i loved the warm funny prose, i loved how flawed and ridiculous were all the characters. its sad how even though vonnegut had such a broad mind to create he couldnt let go of misogynistic and racist views and they were pretty evident. aside from that it was a perfect summer read with everything happening right now in the world

This book is strange and dark, nonsensical and subtle at the same time, I laughed and then was confused.
"Anyone unable to understand how a useful religion can be founded on lies will not understand this book either." So much about Bokononism that is so ridiculously absurd it ends up making sense. "All of the true things that I am about to tell you are shameless lies."
