This was a really cute story, I loved the back and forth between the characters when they were younger and now.

Das Buch ist eigentlich ganz süß, aber ich habe den Eindruck, dass hier ziemlich viele red flags romantisiert werden. So vieles war einfach so moralisch fragwürdig, dass ich gar nicht sicher war, welches Outcome ich mir wünschen soll. Luca belügt Naomi über so viel Monate. Naomi vereinbart mit Jake, dass sie keine anderen treffen, sucht aber weiter nach Luca und nennt Jake beim Sex beim falschen Namen. Luca sperrt einen Hund in seiner Abwesenheit in eine Box. Lucas Vater hat sein Kind verlassen und sich 15 Jahre nicht gemeldet... Ich war bei keinem der drei sicher, ob sie eine zweite Chance verdienen.
Und natürlich ist es reiner Zufall, dass Luca und Naomi einfach so in die selbe Stadt und sogar in dasselbe Haus ziehen. Ich sage nicht, dass Bücher 100% realistisch sein müssen, aber das ist dann doch ziemlich blöd...

This book has 2 things I hate in a story - predictable af plot and irksome unhinged characters.
You could tell the plot twist by 40% through in which where everyone except the FMC knew to a point where it got really dumb.
The characters…man if the author was trying to sell the whole “awww they grew up together when the boy was clearly misunderstood”, it’s a hard pass from me thx. Both of them were unhinged ngl when they start stalking each other and tracking each other down (tf pls don’t normalise this behaviour kids). It surprises me that they still think the way they do in the present age because it felt like they were still in 5th grade with the dialogue.

I will give this some points for having a very different premise than other romance books. However, the miscommunication in this book was infuriating and it fell flat in the end.

This book made me giddy. It was a nice change of pace I needed in romance. Pen pals who continue to write each other after the 5th grade and they were mean to each other and then to finally come together? Yes please! It was funny and spicy in the right moments.
