i’ve never read a book that touches on these topics before. even though i’m half her age i felt so badly for tori, so angry at tom especially in that one sex scene like ew why are you like that
even though i felt badly for tori she also drove me up the wall, the way she was projecting her life and just refusing to see how rotten and miserable she was, and in the end it was hard to feel any sympathy for her- tho i’m glad it ended how it did.
author did a great job of putting out a raw, miserable sense throughout this whole book, getting us to dislike almost pretty much single character in the whole book which was done brilliantly

Wrażenia: Trochę love/hate, bo z jednej strony upłakałam się z radości podczas opisu wesela albo pomysłów na baby shower, a z drugiej strony wkurzające koncentrowanie się na tym, żeby dobrze wypaść w social mediach i zgarniać lajeczki. Fajnie opisana społeczna presja, żeby się ustatkować, mieć dzieci, pojęcie muru, który oddziela dzieciatych od niedzieciatych.
Dla kogo: Na pewno nie każdemu podejdzie styl, ale wpada do szufladki "polecane", autorka bardzo się stara siać feministyczną propagandę i zdrowe relacje, a to zawsze szanuję :)

I kept reading incase the plot picked up or got more interesting, but by page 200 it really hadn’t. Pregnancy was a much bigger theme than I expected. It was quite a depressing tone on the whole, and as someone who has been going through IVF and had a miscarriage 5 weeks ago, it probably wasn’t the best choice despite thoroughly checking the content warnings and reviews!
