I’m a huge fan of the original River of Time series. In fact, it’s the series that got me hooked on Christian Fiction in the first place. I was so excited when I heard about this new series. A little bit nervous too. How could it possibly live up to the original? I had no need to worry, though. This was another fantastic and thrilling trip back to medieval Italy.

I liked all the new characters. I’ll admit that I was a little suspicious of one of them, but I genuinely enjoyed getting to know all of them. And I loved seeing some old favorite characters. It was so nice to catch up with them!

There are two POVs: Luciana from the present and Tiliani from medieval times. I really enjoyed having two different perspectives. They both had distinct voices, so I had no trouble keeping them straight.

This book is good for old fans and new alike! It’s not a requirement to read the original series. It stands alone perfectly fine, but I'm sure you’ll be eager for another trip back to medieval Italy! I know I am!

This was a fantastic book. I got to read the first three books in the River of Time series and that caught me up enough to get a fuller understanding of the world in Estuary. Definitely recommend reading the original series first!

Estuary was a fantastic continuation of the original series with all the romance, adventure, and action to keep you on the edge of your seat. Time travel books are so fun.

Can’t wait to read Riptide, book 2!

Oh my word. How can I explain what this book meant to me? It felt like coming home after a long trip. Medieval Italy, the Forellis, the swoony men, and unusual ladies feel like home. Feel like family. My high school reading was marked by The River in Time series and to have one of my favorite publishers (Enclave Publishing) partner with the author who showed me the joy of non-magical (mostly

This book was perfect plane-reading material. Very easy and fun and consumable; requires little to no brain power to understand what's happening. And it is so fun to be back with the She-Wolves. It doesn't quite hit the same as the original series, likely due to the fact that I'm no longer 15 lol, but still a great time and I definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoyed the River of Time series, or is planning a tbr for a 24 hour plane journey...

Slow start to the book for character set up. I was skeptical for the first 200 pages but by the end I was invested in the next generation of characters and ready for the rest of the of the series.

I was introduced to the world of Lisa Bergren and the River of Time books many years ago with a free Kindle download of Waterfall. I fell in the love with the writing style and the rich, detailed world that Lisa had created. I loved the characters and followed along with the journeys through Medieval Italy across 5 books.
So when she announced there were going to be more books and that they were going to be on Enclave Publishing, my expectations and excitement skyrocketed. I spent many months following along with the title and cover announcements and then I got the chance to preorder. (as a side note, I preordered directly from Lisa's website and it was an amazing experience.)
My signed copy of Estuary arrived 8 days before the release and I sat down and read it in 24 hours. I was afraid that Oceans of Time would not have the same magic and pizzazz that River of Time has. I went into the book with such high expectations, but also fearing the new characters wouldn't be able to stand up to the old ones.
All of my fears were unfounded and all of my expectations were surpassed. I LOVED Estuary. It is an amazing book. It deserves every single one of the 5 stars I've given it. It's easily going to be one of my top 10 books of 2023 and it's only June!
In short, I highly recommend Estuary whether you've read the River of Time or not. You can easily jump into the Oceans of Time become completely immersed in the waters of Medieval Italy.
