I enjoyed the plot. The world-building is a little heavy handed at times, but the concepts are interesting. Fetch felt layered and well formed. An engaging introduction to the series.

Less aaronovitch and more butcher. This book is what happens when you put a noir detective in a former magical world. I'm looking forward to see where it goes.

Liked the mood it painted. Very post-apocalyptic fantasyworld style. Preordered the sequel that I will probably read in the winter.

A romp, and as someone currently reading a Raymond Chandler the influence is clear and the pastiche very fun.
