I won this in a Goodreads giveaway back in February and just received the book last week. I wasn't necessarily anticipating this book but after waiting almost 6 months and thinking I'd never get it, it piqued my interest. Not the best long-term marketing tactic but it worked this time

The twists, the turns, the back and forth between timelines to truly get to know the charters, wow. I have not read a psychological thriller in a very long time, I came across this book from joining a book club with a creator named Katie that I buy books from on tik tok, and I am not disappointed in this book one bit! This story follows the relationship of Luna and Owen , which is absolutely intriguing and will keep you wanting to know more and more, about them individually and together. The story breaks off between Lunas, Owens, and some other characters that get introduced along the way, perspectives, all while going back into different timelines because murder just so happens to follow Owen and Luna wherever they go! The whole time you will question “who dun it”, you’ll think you absolutely know, and then you get to the next chapter and it starts all over again. Is it a series of unfortunate luck that follows these two besties? Or is one of them quite possibly a murderer? To find out go read this book! You won’t be disappointed.

I liked the writing of this much better than most similar books I've read lately. Plot was OK, no complaints but not like big wow. Would definitely read more by Lutz.

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC of this title. This was an interesting and compelling read, with a switch in timelines and character perspectives. I loved the slow uncovering of details and the build up to what happened in the past, and how that informed the present. The characters were well developed and the story stayed interesting until the end. Highly recommend for fans of psychological thrillers.

Listened to the audiobook version, great narration. This was a mesmerizing listen and I quickly got caught up in the characters, their friendships, and their secrets. Satisfying ending.

More like 3.5 stars. This book is very enjoyable and quick-paced. I thoroughly enjoyed the short chapters that allowed us to jump around timelines as well as Luna and Owen’s “ride or die” friendship. It is something special and fun to see in a thriller.

I wouldn’t say this is anything groundbreaking but is simply just a good read. Lisa’s writing is fantastic and I loved the twists and turns she conjured up. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something to provide a break from reality!
