Friends-to-enemies-to-lovers can be such a hard plot to write and do well, but [b:Drilled|58313474|Drilled (Four Bears Construction #7)|K.M. Neuhold|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1626287963l/58313474._SY75_.jpg|91427592] really hit the nail on the head.

I was in love with Apollo all those years ago, and I’m in love with him now.

This is going to be a pretty short review for me, simply because I really enjoyed the book and anything more that I want to stay gives too much of the details away and moves into spoiler territory.

It’s certainly cliched at times or a trope we see over and over, but don’t fix what isn’t broken. If it works, it works, ya’ll.

I do think it may have been a little unrealistic in how Anna was with everything, but we got a HEA and that’s all that matters.

I had read most of this series awhile ago, and I’m sad that it’s come to an end but this book felt like a good romance to end it on!

Overall I would recommend!

3.5 stars. One of the better Four Bears books even if I wanted to slap Apollo up the head several times. Boy, the man is stubborn.

Neuhold knocked it out of the park with this whole series! It's sizzling hot but also sweet and made me laugh out loud (to the chagrin of my sleeping husband) many times.
Highly recommend, but start with the first one and go in order!

Drilled

Apollo and Ridge

Hmmm.... this one just might be my favorite of the series. Although I really did enjoy Miller's book. I love the family these guys have all created with one another.

I am happy, sad and a little um... about Drilled at the same time - happy because Apollo gets his HEA, sad because it's the last book of the series and the um... well, I just didn't connect with Apollo and Ridge like I did with the previous characters - and it could easily be my own headspace that's causing it because I normally fall right into KM Neuhold's story worlds...

I'll admit I wasn't excited about this book. The bits and pieces we got of Apollo and Ridge in previous books did not excite me and I've never been a fan of second chance romances. It took a bit to get into but I ended up really liking Ridge and the sex scenes between these two were intense. I didn't like Apollo though, he just didn't seem to have much of a personality.

This isn't my least favourite of the series, that honour goes to Stud, but it's not very high on my favourites list. It was just okay in the end, but that might have been a me thing as it is a bit of the second chance romance.

I love how in every book the couple has to have a pet of some sort, this time it was a cat but we've had dogs, snakes, bees, and tortoises. The animals might be my favourite part!

I'm sad to see these characters go as I've grown attached to the Four Bears Construction crew but there's still an extra series finale novella to read and I'm REALLY excited for the Big Bull Mechanics series (seriously can someone please love Porter the way he deserves!!!)

Ahhhh I loved Apollo and Ridges story and it was so worth it to wait!
Childhood best friends to enemies to lovers due to forced proximity! It made for a great story.
I do wish we had met them a bit more in the past and maybe a bit more time with that overwhelming tension before they ended up together.
Still epic. Also the spice in this one was really solid. Enjoyed this series so much
