I really enjoyed Backman’s writing style. The omnipresent narrator made it easier to keep track of the characters but also helped identify the characters’ motives and inner workings.

Fredrik Backman does it again! His writing hooks you from the beginning and through the use of short chapters and multiple character perspectives is able to respectfully delve into the small town reality of handling really horrible situations.

Okay, wow wow wow wow wow wow wow. I was scared to read this because of the content, but wow. I still need to process this... It was so much. 
Some moments were so beautiful, and there are quotes that will stick with me forever.
