This is a very good book that deals with so many issues. I found most of the characters very compelling, except for Kevin and Maya, whom I found to be a little flat.

I enjoy reading books that take place in cold wintery places because I feel a connection to that reality.

Backman is a talented writer--every book is so different! I had a hard time with the audio book. I couldn't keep all the characters straight, so I decided to read it, which worked out much better. Backman constantly switches viewpoints, which was hard in audio form, but in the book I could tell where the viewpoints switched because of spacing.

Highly recommend! Did not disappoint!!

3.5/5. It was fine, a cliche topic and too long. If I didn't find Blackman to be an engaging writer I probably wouldn't have finished it
