Two modern day Grimm's fairy tales. Delightful, creepy, enthralling.

Cecelia Ahern's stories are always magical, even when they seem to be about little things in a completely normal person's life. These two stories are short and easy to read, but the imagination of the author is wonderful as always, and the first story was really creepy, perhaps comparable to Neil Gaiman's Coraline. I hope she'll do more short stories, but I love her novels as well and it seems to make no difference which form she uses, it's always good.

The memory maker is a great short-story which stimulates reflection and in-depth interaction. I give that one 5 stars.
Girl in the mirror on the other hand is a very strange story and I can only give it 3 stars because I like Ahern in general very much. Maybe I also just don’t get her point in this one, but it is definitely too dark and the end is not satisfactory, compared to what one is used to from Ahern.
