This is truly the worst book I’ve ever read. It had a lot of potential and fell so unbelievably flat - lost interest before I was even halfway through. Every single character is unlikable, ESPECIALLY Anisa, the main character. The big reveal is predictable, the side characters and their storylines are irrelevant, chapters are too long, and the ending is incredibly weak. I actually had to go back and re-listen to the ending because I was like.. there’s no way that’s the end. This was a short book but if felt like it dragged on and, unfortunately, was a waste of my time. There are so many books that I could’ve been reading instead.

Very interesting premise, but it falls flat because of the annoying MC and their fetting
