I loved the framing of this story and how it uses a 7-year old narrator in a unique way. But due to the many many characters, I sometimes got a little lost or detached from the book as a whole.

I am sure the author didn't plan for this book to be a tutorial on grand-parenting...however, I aspire.

-Bookclub pick-
Very promising story, but it just lost me too many time along the way. I could not get into the Miama imaginary world, and failed to care much about the characters despire most of them being likeable/intriguing/unique. The book is not bad by any means, just not for me.

I loved this book.

When I read A Man Called Ove, it took me a little while to get into it. That was not the case here.

I think I can see why people might not like it, but the whole reading experience made my heart and mind very happy.
