this was just very interesting in general...like yeah

i got it though, loved the crow as a coping mechanism, crazy stuff especially for a debut

Short and absurd and intriguing, my favourite parts (and I think the saddest parts) were the experiences of the little boys moving through the impact and processing of the loss of their mother. This really was a unique book that does a good job of expressing the reeling/disorienting/nonsensical feeling of grief and loss and plays with the form so well.
