This was my first Sadie Kincaid book and I must say, I thoroughly enjoyed it, more so than I thought I would. The plot was a bit confusing at times, as were the MCs but overall, I thought it was a good book and a good start to a new series, I’m really looking forward to reading the next 2 books. Check your trigger warnings and happy reading!

The couple is so toxic it just felt weird and this is coming from someone who reads a lot of dark romance and I hated that he called her kitten

I think I just need to give up on mafia kidnapping romances…like girl, you don’t have feelings you have Stockholm syndrome. I also didn’t love the FMC. Despite being referred to as feisty and strong I found her to be weak and annoying.
