DNF at 35%.It was supposed to be a fluffy smutt, and at moments it was. But there were just a bunch of tiny things that made it iffy. And now FMCs mind state is basically reduced to an animal instead of a women while MMCs are fully conscious of their actions and thats thr last drop for me
This book felt like it could have easily been three. It was a lot of book, but I enjoyed every minute of it.
Emily is a 36-year-old omega who is tired of using an app to find mediocre alphas to help her through her heat. Instead, this time around, she goes to the free clinic and is paired with a sweet heat attendant beta, Ben, who is 28. He helps her and they have an instant connection. On her first session with alphas, she "meets" Marcus, a 40-something-year-old alpha, and they both feel a connection, based on their scents. Marcus is mated to an English beta, Tom, and asks him to cut short his business trip to come meet Emily... and Ben! What follows is their adventures in forming their pack.
I loooved this omegaverse! It's such a good standalone. You get enough pages to meet each character, and have the individual relationships evolve independently... My favorite is Ben, because he's so sweet and caring, but I also love Marcus, with his steadfast strength, and bratty Tom. Emily is a great character, and I love that she's in her mid-thirties, as it's generally rare in romance, but even more in omegaverses!!! Her character development is amazing: she goes from self-deprecating and unsure of herself to strong and self-assured, thanks to her pack. It's spicy and sweet. I recommend this book to anyone who loves omegaverse, but even to people who havent yet read an omegaverse: there's a summary at the beginning that explain everything you need to know about this genre. It's super well explained. Read it, I'm sure you'll love it too!

I received this book as a free ARC. I absolutely loved this story. Emily is a very relatable character in that she is afraid of getting hurt. She is so used to people using her that when she finds herself in a situation where people genuinely care about her, she's hesitant to believe its true. Sam and Tom are my favorite of her men and I'll tell you why. Sam is my favorite because as soon as he saw her, he knew what she needed and gave it to her. He knew when she needed comfort, when she needed someone to be with her, and when she needed to just let go and be in the moment and I loved that. Their connection just made my heart feel full. Tom is my favorite because of his personality. I think his mischievousness offset her seriousness/introvertedness so perfectly. They have fun together in exactly the ways she needs.
The only thing I didn't like about this book was how Marcus' opinions trumped everything. And before anyone gets mad, I understand this is an omegaverse and so by being alpha that is the natural order of things. I just didn't like that there were decisions that they couldn't just make on their own as individuals. I get being part of a pack but they are also human and therefore, should still have some form of individuality. But otherwise, I loved the book and would recommend it to anyone that likes sweet omegaverse.
