I need Christian and Daisy to figure it out or I’m gonna freak out.

But in all seriousness, I love this book and I loved them. Daisy is probably one of my favorite characters of all time, I adored her. She was so sweet but also a badass crime family princess?? Sign me up. Now, Julian… my god. I love him. He’s tried so hard to be such a good brother and his personality shines so much in this book it was amazing.

Okay, Christians turn. Now I do like Christian, but oh my GOD he pissed me off. Bug as always Jessa Hastings could convince me of anything and now I need them to work out more than I need my next breath. Overall so excited to read the rest of the series. I certainly can’t stop now.

Daisy Haites is the second book in the Magnolia Parks Universe. It follows Daisy Haites a second year medical student and her love interest Christian Hemmes who you would have met in the first book. It also follows Daisy’s brother Julian Haites who is a crime boss.

Daisy is a badass who is easy to root for. She’s trying to balance her normal life of being a university medical student, with being the sister of one of the most powerful gang lords in England. Not to mention her off again, on again relationship with her childhood sweetheart, Romeo. Christian is struggling with his lingering feelings for Magnolia, and his new burgeoning feelings for Daisy. Even though he’s a gang lord as well doesn’t mean that he and Daisy are without conflict. Julian tries to do right by his sister, but will his crime lifestyle finally come between them?

This is another emotional read from this series and I can’t wait to read the next one.

This book had everything that I loved about MP1 and more. I fucking love the MPU because it is just pure escapism for me. I lose myself in the pages and for awhile I simply don't think about the things that are hurting me in my real life and cry over these fictional british messes. It's everything to me. The books aren't objectively perfect (no book is, not even most of my favorites), and you're entitled to your opinion, but they make ME happy.

With that portion out of the way - this book took me a little longer to read because 1. it's a big boi and 2. I just started a new job and I'm tired all the time. However, I loved my time with Daisy. I thought the three unique perspectives (Daisy, Christian & Julian) were intriguing and often heartbreaking as well as soooo funny. I loved getting to know the characters in Daisy's world better, as well as getting to know Daisy herself. There is so much about her to love, and like the other characters - a lot about her to hate, but that's what I love even more about her. She's just a person living in extraordinary circumstances, and really, that's what all of these characters are. They are so messy and half the time they're doing things you can't stand, but you still want them to win.

I am both excited and afraid to read MP: The Long Way Home. 😂
