Liked it more than the first one. But in my opinion some events were not as serious as the author made them to be. Therefore the characters had some extreme reactions so the book has more drama . That was my problem with the first book as well. Some things just felt too forced and came out of nowhere. Still enjoyable tho. Also loved Julian's pov.

I definitely liked this one more than the Magnolia Parks. It was ever so slightly less toxic, the story itself was more entertaining and the way the author tied the two stories together was VERY cool! Still hated like all the characters and couldn’t fully get past the toxicity, but also was looking forward to picking it up again.

I am never going to recover from reading this book. I fell in love with Daisy and Julian, had mixed feelings about Christian, found an absolute appreciation for Henry (best side character EVER, you cannot convince me otherwise), and then had all of my feelings twisted, wrenched, and torn to tiny bits before being tossed out a moving car window.

I still don’t know what to think about these books but I started this as soon as I finished magnolia parks so obviously I am compelled to read!

I feel like the format was v similar to the first book which was a bit annoying. I also wish the characters were a bit older.
I liked Christians POV after meeting him more in the first book and liked the added drama of the gang lifestyle.

I do wish more actual descriptions and fleshing out of the characters happened rather than telling us what they’re like. It feels a little superficial and I don’t get why people are so in love with these people because they’re mostly vapid and not v 3 dimensional.
But I’m reading it so 🤷🏼‍♀️😂

They could do with another edit, some plot holes and it’s longer than it needs to be but it’s an easy read

I need Christian and Daisy to figure it out or I’m gonna freak out.

But in all seriousness, I love this book and I loved them. Daisy is probably one of my favorite characters of all time, I adored her. She was so sweet but also a badass crime family princess?? Sign me up. Now, Julian… my god. I love him. He’s tried so hard to be such a good brother and his personality shines so much in this book it was amazing.

Okay, Christians turn. Now I do like Christian, but oh my GOD he pissed me off. Bug as always Jessa Hastings could convince me of anything and now I need them to work out more than I need my next breath. Overall so excited to read the rest of the series. I certainly can’t stop now.

I cannot express how much I loved this book!!!!!!!
Christian Hemmes is my fave person ever and I can't imagine reading one more book before getting back to Daisy and Christian ughhh! The way Daisy thinks and expresses her thoughts about Christian, especially her fan girl moments, are so relatable. I much prefer being in Daisy and Christian's heads than Magnolia and BJ's because Daisy and Christian actually make sense together.
I did not expect the plot twists, I did not expect to love it like I do. The writing is phenomenal and I could read anything by Jessa Hastings.
Totally random but the mention of Clayhall and Barkingside like that's not so close to where I live in London and aren't areas I visit all the time?? Everything about this book is my fave!
Also, I know some people don't like the footnotes but they're so easy to read on a Kindle.

Reread 11/06/23: Read my review above and just know that I concur x100.
