If you're looking for closure, this is not the book for you.
This mystery was really gripping and I found myself tearing through it because I just wanted to know what happened to those that went missing at Hanging Rock but unfortunately for me, there was no clear ending at the end of this book.
For someone who generally loves books with a definite start and end, I still actually really enjoyed this book. Yes, my initial reaction was to throw it on the floor in frustration but I guess that's what makes it worth reading, right? I'm sure thinking about what happened and how the story might have truly ended will plague me for days.
After reading more about this book I came to find that Lindsay did actually write a final chapter in which the mystery was resolved but it was suggested by her editor that it be removed. Reflecting on that, and having read about that final chapter which was published posthumously, I have to say I'm glad it was left out.
