Meh, it was a spy novel. It was slow paced between missions but a little quicker pace during the missions. I didn't really get to know the characters so it a as hard to care about them and whether or not they made it through a mission. The narrative felt very "check the box" to make it through a spy plot, but not cohesive as a story line.

Everything that wasn't an active mission was just really slow and dull, in my opinion. This is also not my usual genre, so overall it just wasn't the book for me.
