It's been a long time since I found a book the kept my gripping the book, ignoring everything else around me!
I loved the book and the world building, I loved the story and the characters. It was fun and I look forward to book 2.
My ONLY criticism? the hate-to-love could've lasted longer. it was "too quick" and "too easy" regardless of all that transpired I would think there would be a whole lot more mistrust and hatred going on here.... and that's why it lost a star. yes I am that mean...

I’ve been really struggling with romantasy lately, with a lot of let downs and cookie cutter characters. A Fate of Wrath and Flame may have a name that implies it’s just your standard romantasy, but it’s actually quite compelling. It offers an interesting twist on the idea of elves and vampires, with a fairly unique magic system that I think will be even more involved as the series continues.
It was a little slow to start, and very confusing for the first 60 pages or so, but once the story really got going, it was hard to put down. I will admit, I called the “reveals” pretty early on, but that didn’t really take away from the story for me. It’s been a while since I was itching to immediately pick up the second book in a romantasy series, so I hope that the books will continue to be as good as the first for the rest of the series.

I find the plot very interesting but the writing not so good. I don't believe a character would be lusting after a man they don't know when they've been transported to a magic world. The inner thoughts of the FMC are driving me crazy. The writing is very tell don't show.
Obsessed with this book and need the next one ASAP. Really great new adult high fantasy. Not very steamy, because many it is a SLOW BURN, but hoping that picks up in the second one.
